This is a VERY important message that if you pay attention could
end up saving your parrot's life, as it just did to my brother's Cockatoo Linus
a few weeks ago.
And it shouldn't cost you anything to use.
Linus came home from one of my brothers cruise, ship shows, and just in case
you've forgotten, my brother performs his bird-magic act on cruise ships.
And the only way to get the birds home is to put them in a traveler carrier and
stick 'em on an airplane.
So when Linus got home, we just continued on like normal with our training, and
he was doing fine, but because we try to make sure to weigh our birds before
every training session, to make sure that they are on a healthy training diet,
and are getting enough food, we realized Linus had lost a lot of
weight.
Now if you didn't know this, a bird in the wild will hide it's signs of disease
very well, so as not to be picked off by predators. So it can be very hard to
notice if your parrot is sick, until it is so late, that they literally die, or
come VERY close.
So the only way to tell if your parrot is sick is often by a loss of weight,
it's often the only sign.
And only because we have a policy of weighing our birds constantly, do we know
how much are birds are supposed to weigh, and if they drop 10-20% body weight,
we know we need to get them into the VET ASAP, because it could be life
threatening.
You wouldn't believe how many people return my parrot training course, that say
they can't use my course on their parrot, because their bird recently died.
It happens all the time, and although I'm not blaming you if this has happened
to you, please now that just weighing your parrot daily could save your parrot's
life in the future.
When we took Linus into the vet she said he would have been dead within the
week, if we hadn't brought him in, and what a sad deal that would have been.
So here's hoping I can give you just one more tool to help keep your parrot
healthy and strong, and give you a bit of preventative medicine for a bad
situation. Your parrot dying.
Please take this message seriously,
Best Wishes,
Chet Womach
