EWPR's Display Table at "Friday Night Alive" |
|
We had our banner made in quick time
for this event. It was just what we wanted! It was a bit long for
the table, but we have since adjusted that. We provided EWPR brochures,
adoption forms, information on having a parrot as a pet, business card magnets
and parrot pens for the kids. |

EWPR's Presence at "Friday Night Alive"
|
|
This is Dee Hanson and her Grandson, Jacob Bond. She had two of her
personal birds there; Mattie, a Goffin's Cockatoo and Kellie, a Chaco Blue Front
Amazon Parrot. The birds were a great attraction for people attending the event.
There were no parrots for adoption because EWPR does an involved screening. |

Now...YOU TELL ME! |
|
Does this look like a Happy Camper to you? This beagle was one of the dogs
that was in the "Dress Up" contest. EWPR thought he was just too
darn cute not to show here. |

Pioneer Humane Society "Friday Night Alive" Event
Pendleton, Oregon Pioneer Humane Society invited Eastern Washington
Parrot Rescue to join their "Friday Night Alive" fund raising event in
Pendleton, Oregon. EWPR only had one week to prepare for this and since we
had not done any events prior to this one, we were in a hurry to get everything
ready. Even though it was our first event, it was a huge learning
experience and we did pretty well. We definitely received great support
from the people of Pendleton. There is always room for improvements and
now EWPR knows a lot more about displaying much needed information to the public
about owning parrots and finding rescues if the need arises.
